3 predictions for 2070
in direct response to the previous vannevar bush entry, here are 3 predictions for what the world will be like in 2070:
1) film and analog (wet/dry) photography will still be around, taking advantage of not only new emulsions, but as a commercially viable alternative to hyper-photography, which will be a hybrid of today’s digital sensor capture photography and holographic projection. and of course, the release of the latter will be strictly confounded by corporate and retail structures — still much like today’s photography world.
2) department stores, grocery stores, and other retail venues will be devoid of tangible merchandise, but will resemble an overblown version of today’s online/internet shopping. local storage will be enhanced and spatially dominant to enable the elevated need of home and local address delivery.
3) like stadiums, athletes, celebrity figures, and nascar vehicles, civilians will be sponsored as corporate identities, giving way to a new sur-naming system involving businesses and companies.
